The Pain of Unquiet Evenings

Restlessness can ensnare you like a vice during the night. Every murmuration becomes amplified, every shadow takes on an ominous form. You toss and turn, your mind racing, desperate for some elusive peace. Sleep, once a gentle refuge, has become a distant dream. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity of torment.

We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the unbreakable spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

A Heavy Blanket of Insomnia
